Is it possible to be a fan of a Subway/Valero? Apparently it is. I like this Subway because the people are nice, the sandwiches are consistenly well-made, they always have the type of bread I want (unlike some others), and THEY HAVE A TOASTER (unlike the one on the St. Mary's campus where I spent 3 long years eating cold subs)!
Grab a sub then pick out any type of chip/snack/drink you want in the entire convenience store and pay all at once. So you can get those Flamin' Hot Funions instead of the regular ol' Sun Chips (No? Just me?).
The place gets pretty crowded at lunch. I see a lot of people eating the gas station hamburgers, but I have been passing on those. There are a few tables outside to eat your meal and a long bar type area inside by the front window. So eat there, or take it with you, but this place is a solid stop for a sub/drink/snack.

Tried the wraps and I didn't like either one. Both where dry and difficult to eat. They need to stick to Sups. In my opinion my granddaughter had a. 6" sup and ate. It. All she didn't care for the wrapp either. Good girl agreeing with me ha

The manager here was super nice to us but it really upset me seeing her yell at her employees (who were all elderly).
She was yelling at the elderly gentlemen that was wrapping up the sanwhich and also the mid aged woman who was preparing the sanwhich, it was such a sad sight to see. I almost lost it and cried.
I can't believe how much a power trip the lady had to show in front of her employees. She was yelling ferociously with customers present. I really hope someone corrects her management skills because her actions was inappropriate and the way she treated her employees or coworkers speaks volumes on how much she does not care about them.
I feel like any type of work place people should be treated fairly regardless of their age. The workers were borderline close to tears because I could tell they desperately need their jobs and they didn't want to speak up for themselves.
I pray things get better for all the workers at this location and that someone fixes these concerning issues. -

Truly awful. Understaffed. Ball of confusion. 20 30 minute wait times on occasion. Like today. And I was the first to order. They made half a sandwich and just left it waiting on the counter while they filled other orders. I swore I would never come back before. This time I will keep that promise.
